Recent leaks concerning the PS5 Pro have sparked an internal investigation at Sony PlayStation, aimed at delving into the issue thoroughly, albeit partially confirming the console’s existence.
Leaks at Sony regarding the PS5 Pro version have prompted an internal investigation at PlayStation, especially since there have been two instances of such leaks being made public.
The console does not yet have an official name, and it is widely assumed it will follow the path of the PS4 and PS4 Pro, but the truth is that Sony PlayStation might instead opt for a PS5 Slim route.
As for this model, everyone refers to the console as ‘PlayStation 5 Slim,’ but in reality, it is only seen as the new PlayStation 5 Chassis D.
It’s worth noting that the console currently has a temporary price reduction until March 31st in all stores, priced at €474.99 until the end of the month.
This could be another sign that they are paving the way for the new and anticipated PlayStation 5 Pro because it’s already an open secret.
However, insider Tom Henderson – who also confirmed the veracity of the initial leaks – has stated on his Twitter account that Sony is investigating how this information was leaked.
“Sony has launched an internal investigation into the leaked Trinity documents which leaked during a third-party deployment,” Henderson tweeted.
“I’m not sure yet of the implications because I don’t think they can catch a person, but Sony might narrow down their third-party developer pool for the new technology as a result of this.”
It’s still too early to assert anything, but perhaps there will be much more secrecy regarding Sony PlayStation’s future hardware; and the leaks would be to blame.
Sony Launches Internal Investigation Due to PS5 Pro Leaks
The insider somewhat covers his tracks in the responses, ensuring that this time it was not him who leaked such documents and that he only echoed them.
“I just report on hearsay, I don’t leak anything,” he commented, and the same could be said of the press when we also echoed it.
Currently, the situation is that Sony has opened an internal investigation following the new leaks of the PS5 Pro, the console continues to be known by the codename Trinity.
